Little Jimmy Dickens Grand Ole Opry Member since 1948
Referred to as “The Littlest, But Biggest Star at The Opry” by his peers, Little Jimmy Dickens has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since Roy Acuff extended an invitation to him in 1948 and, on most weekends, he’s still performing there. He was elected to the prestigious Country Music Hall of Fame in 1983 and has recorded over 300 songs with Columbia Records, winning a place in worldwide affection with his recording of “May The Bird of Paradise Fly Up Your Nose."
